Annoying Balloon Tips In Windows XP Annoying Balloon Tips In Windows XP Whenever you connect or disconnect from the network in Windows XP or do something new like hardware or LOGIN to MSN a small yellow pop-up balloon is displayed near the notification area (tray) that tells you stuff you already know about and is rather annoying. You can tweak XP and disable that feature: Perform the following: Start regedit.exe. by going to START then RUN and type REGEDIT and click OK Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced Create a new DWORD value called EnableBalloonTips by RIGHT CLICKING In the Panel to the RIGHT Give it a decimal value of 0 (zero) Click OK. Close regedit. And thats It no more darn annoying balloony things In your face. You might still here a little pop when a balloon tips pops nut you wont see It and It wont geet In your way. |
